House Scribe Vow

Continuing to Honor the Dead, Death Eater Style

Greetings!

So it's summer! I do hope you all are having a wicked and spell binding summer being wizards or Mafia members~ 

But I digress, let us get back on the topic at hand.

The third meeting was dicussing about dead people once more. More exact, the death eaters we know of who more or less died.

It was Fang of Slytherin who was in charge of this meeting.

The people who were discussed were:

Umbridge - Karasu of Ravenclaw

Lestrange - Fang of Slytherin

Barty Crouch Jr. - Athena of Ravenclaw

Severus Snape - Skyflame of Gryffindor

Emeraldeye was unfortunetly unable to attended the meeting.

It was an interesting meeting to say the least.

We were entertained by Karasu who gave us a pricelessly funny tale of being captured by Umbridge while telling us about her.

Fang discussed the minimum known about Lestrange.

For Athena, she talked about Barty Crouch Jr. and how he became a Death Eater.

As for me, I talked about the mysterious Severus Snape, who had an interesting background. Did you know that his actor, Alan Rickman, knew before all of us that Snape had fancy Lily? J.K. Rowling while the films were being made had pulled him aside to tell him parts of Snape's history. This knowledge is why Rickman acted the way he did in some parts in the film and whenever the producer questioned why he acted a certain way or said a line, Rickman replied he knew something they did not. Haha^^ Who knew?

Anyway, it was a delightful meeting!

P.S. We also decided for the next meeting it would be about the myths J.K. Rowling may have been inspired by while writing Harry Potter. This meeting would be hosted by Athena of Ravenclaw.

Wow has it really been that long? 

I barely remember this meeting but I shall try my best to describe what happened :)

In this meeting we discussed the myths that J.K Rowling used in creating the Wizarding World. 

From creatures to characters, names and design. This was the fourth meeting by the way. It was amusing.

Honoring the Dead

Alright, this is what happened.

For the second meeting, we had decided in the last meeting we would be discussing (to put it bluntly) our favorite characters that died in the series.

The host for this meeting was Karasu.

Each character discussed and presented are the following:

Cedric Diggory - Athena of Ravenclaw

Bellatrix Lestrange - Karasu of Ravenclaw

Tom Riddle/Voldemort - Emeraldeye of Slytherin

Dobby - Fang of Slytherin

Sirus Black and Remus Lupin - Skyflame of Gryffindor

After discussing about each character, we learned about a few interesting facts such as the Marauder Map, did you know the map list the marauders backwards in the order they died?

Anyway, to recap this was the first meeting of the House Scribes.

During the first meeting, we talked about the good and bad qualities as well as the stereotypes of each house of Hogwarts.

From Gryffindor to Hufflepuff, then to Slytherin and Ravenclaw.

In the end we all agreed that just because you are place in a certain house doesn't mean you have to follow the status quo!

Now the purpose of this blog is for us the house scribes to write, chat, and discuss about anything Hogwarts related. In addition, it's a creative website for us to hang out, promote our belief in house unity, and bring our creative minds to the test.
